A Web Applications Engineer is a talented coder who builds systems that improve players’ experience to efficiently communicate and enjoy in highly energy packed game rooms. Utilizing open source technology and frameworks our goal is to focus on creating innovative and game changing ideas. Sample applications may include web-based enterprise applications, distributed database tools, ticketing and customer relationship management systems, sales channel management, intelligent data retrieval tools.
Experience developing business applications software or online services is definitely a plus but not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Imagine a system which can host the world’s largest online game room, then help us build and manage it.
- Create new applications to increase co-ordination between players and support team
- Identify and address inefficiency.
- Focus on solutions that provide services and APIs, that will help integrate multiple game systems
- Good to have a familiarity with Design Patterns and ideally utilising a three tier design.
- Mentor, guide and train junior team members. (Depending on the seniority)
Requirements:
- Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience with Python/PHP and/or any other modern programming language(s).
- Web application development experience.
- Experience with one or more of the following: SQL, MySQL, Oracle, logical database design.
- Experience with Doctrine/Memcache/Zend Framework would be an added advantage.
- Track record of "getting things done."
